Rolex will still service 5-digit DJs without question, and most parts are still available to independent watchmakers with Rolex parts accounts. The same can't necessarily be said about 4-digit DJ movements. The quintessential Rolex. Congratulations. I love my SS 36mm DateJust smooth bezel, on a Oyster bracelet. A classic, simple, watch. I don’t have many rolex watches in my collection, but there is always a datejust. I personally like the 36mm version with the jubilee bracelet and the 18K white gold fluted bezel. But I think the most overlooked element of the datejust line .

Looking at the Rolex website I see the jubilee end links, case design, dial design and movement have all been tweaked. All the things I liked about the 41mm version now in a svelte 36mm size. Looking forward to seeing more but great changes IMO. If it's your first Rolex I'd go versatile with Silver. If you already have a versatile watch and think of the new piece as an addition to your collection go Blue. Good luck with your choice. Hard to go wrong with either.
