By all means, if you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to msg me. We will structure the buying guide similarly to the r/Watches Brand Guide. Once every two weeks, we will post a thread asking for the r/Watches community to offer suggestions for watch purchases. In each thread, we will solicit watch suggestions by price, in the following categories: Continuing on with the Buying Guides, here is the 0-0 bracket. If you are looking for the Daily Wrist Check please follow u/WatchesBot to see the new thread posted daily! For the newcomers, what's the point of this series of threads?-250, 0-0, 0-00, 00-00, 00-000 .Different watches will give entirely different impressions - an oversized, gaudy watch is very flashy and great for getting attention, while a classic, understated watch will give an air of elegance and class. For men, a watch is often your only accessory, and can say a lot about who you are and what you value.
In the future, we hope to have buying guides for watch-related books, and accessory recommendations. (eg. winders, straps, tools.) These threads will be linked in the /r/Watches FAQ for future reference. This week, we are asking you to to offer suggestions on ladies watches. Here is my watch Top 25 'best' watch brand ranking I established based on a few criteria I believe make a great watchmaker, listed below. I doubt we will ever find a concensus on this as a community but here is my best attempt. Let me know if you agree or if I missed a brand that belongs in this top 25! Criteria. This makes my recommendation for a first “do it all” watch below within your price range: Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 Silicium. Hamilton Khaki, I’ve bought watches that are 10x as expensive and I wear the Hamilton the most still. I’d look at brands in the Swatch group e.g. Certina, Hamilton, Mido and Tissot.
