K+ I am seriously thinking of an Explorer II as my next watch and despite having other 42mm pieces I am concerned that there are many comments that it wears big. My wrist size is around 6.75 inch so I would appreciate your thoughts on how it wears and any pictures.

I have small wrists at 6.5" or smaller and I've found that some watches overwhelm me. I have not been able to find the new Explorer II locally, so curious if any forum members with small wrists are wearing one? I'm seriously mulling a Rolex Explorer II 216570 but am concerned about my 6.3" wrists. Tried it on at an AD but of course the AD insists it looks fine (don't trust the buggers, they're just trying to move the piece). I'd appreciate any slim wrist photos, preferably in a mirror to avoid the foreshortening.
Starting with the black dial, what jumps out is that the hour, minute, and 24-hour hands are now all white gold. On the Polar version, you'll notice that the hands appear less glossy. Both new versions have a small crown between "Swiss" and "Made" at the 6 . Have a 42mm polar and 7" wrist and fits great. My wrist is about 7" and I think it is just a little big. You have to try it on. this is why I am looking at a black dial 42 mm Explorer II, black face version looks smaller than polar face, a well known optical illusion at play.. Dimensionally, as mentioned, the Explorer II measures in at 42mm across, which for some is simply too big. But, because the case is relatively slim at 12mm thick, it does wear smaller than you may think. In fact, the Explorer II is a full millimetre slimmer than a Submariner Ref.116610 . and you can tell. The new Rolex Explorer II 226570 has removed the black base coatings on all hands, resulting in full white gold hands for the hours, minutes, and seconds and a full orange GMT hand.
