From a watch nerd perspective, Panerai's utter lack of transparency, QC issues, and quality-cost ratio. Most recently, their newer P.9010 has been neutered with no hacking or handwinding, and it's completely undecorated.

What's so special about Panerai? I'm amazed by the likes of Rolex, Patek Phillippe, Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin, etc. but I don't get why Panerai is so special. All Panerais look alike, with the same black dial, an oversized case, and most of the time a leather strap.
