With this model you’ll need to advance the hands to midnight and let the date jump, then turn the hands backwards until about 8:30 and then turn the hands forwards again to midnight and repeat until you get to the correct date.
And if there isn't a quickset date then you can wind the time back and forth around midnight (usually about 9pm - 3am) to change the date. No need to go even that far. I wind mine just past midnight and then back to 8PM and then again just past midnight. In order to change the date you have to move the our hand in either direction by 24 hours. The manual says if you go backwards, you need to go passed 7 or 8 pm for the date to fully change over to the previous day.
