In light of the recent attention Clone Wars has been getting, here's an updated version of the popular viewing guide for Seasons 1-5, for all those who want to catch up and would prefer a . There are two ways of watching the animated Star Wars show: in chronological order or release order. Yep, you read that right. The Clone Wars, which takes place between the live-action. Oct 3, 2018 Deepwater said: the only really bad ones are jar jar arcs and C3P0+R2 arcs. You *absolutely* should watch 95% of the episodes focusing on any of the Jedi, Padme, or Clones. I mostly agree, though there are several other pretty bad arcs involving Stinky the Hutt and random Droids wandering around doing nothing.

Season 1 sucks the most, naturally it gets cut the most. Season 4 is pretty much good all the way through and gets zero cuts. 20 episodes were cut from the original total of 75. Any episode included in this list is either important to the ongoing plot, highly rated, or of particular interest to Clone Wars fans.
The initial concept of the show was that it would jump all over the Clone Wars era telling random, disconnected stories, rather than focusing on an overall continuity with multi-episode arcs. That began changing in season 2, and was fully abandoned by season 3. I'm continously impressed by the show, and I'm still in the first season and I actually don't think anyone should skip anything. Even the The Bombay Jedi episode with Jar Jar, C3PO and Padme was also a joy to watch, even though it had the signature slapstick humor in it from TPM. It even helped.

At the beginning of every episode, there’s a quote that ties in with the theme of the episode. One of the quotes was, “It’s a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.” That pretty much is the perfect way to describe The Clone Wars. When Clone Wars is great, I’d say it rivals the best parts of Avatar the Last Airbender.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated action TV show created by George Lucas, set between Star Wars Episodes II and III. It began in 2008, briefly ended in 2014, and concluded in 2020. The series did not run in chronological order. Only named characters are listed here. And enjoy it, Clone Wars is some of the best Star Wars ever made. I highly recommend listening to the podcast "A More Civilised Age" while watching. It's current and former Waypoint folks including Austin Walker and a great companion piece that analyses things very well and is just super fun. There are always shorter things to pick instead if the time commitment is truly a problem. And I personally enjoyed every episode of Clone Wars; sure, some more than others, but I'd watch that pilot movie any day of the week over Episode 9. Maybe an unpopular opinion! But back to that Rebels guide for a sec. it's hardly even saying to skip .
IMO the lowest lows of Clone Wars never even approach the lowest lows of Star Wars as a whole. I promise you, by and large Obi-Wan is far worse than anything you'll see in this show. Not to say there aren't a number of bad episodes in the series as there are plenty but nothing I'd categorize as unwatchable.
