If you just do an inspection of all the bracelet screws every so often, you can prevent having one fall out. If one starts backing out it is very noticeable as the screw will no longer be flush with the side of the link. I saw that one of the pins had fallen out of the bracelet and it had come apart. This was pretty disappointing. So I went back to my AD and they screwed it back on, tightened it etc.

I almost lost my watch one day b/c the pin fell out and the bracelet fell off my wrist. I have never had so many problems with a link before. I hate to keep mailing my watch, but, I want the AD to fix this problem once and for all. I have a Rolex 1016, on a 7836 bracelet. While I was handling it to prepare to unscrew the crown, the pin that holds the 2 curved blades together somehow just fell out and the 2 blades separated. I freaked out, scrabbled around the floor, fortunately found the pin and slid it . Looks like the pin has worn down with age, and hinge on the bracelet probably opened up over time as well. But it's a Rolex, so definitely should be repairable. I'd recommend checking on here for a good AD who does on site repairs where you can walk in. A pin on the foldover portion of the bracelet keeps falling out making the watch fall off of my wrist. Is there something I can do on my own or will I have to take it into a shop? It belongs to an 80's DJ, if that matters. Thanks for the help.
Pins are constantly coming loose in oyster bracelet. I have had my batman for about 5 yrs and I have to tighten the pins on the bracelet more than I would like to. I never have this problem with any other watches. Does this happen to anyone else? As you can see in the picture below, the spring bar on this Yuki Rolex 95153 bracelet has broken, but it left the end of a pin in one hole, which doesn't want to budge. Now this spring bar is toast and will be replaced, but if anyone has any suggestions on how to get the pin out of the hole, I would really appreciate it. Had to grind down the collar to fit a Hamilton bracelet, but if you order a pin and collar, you're set. Just don't try pitting the collar in over carpet! And order a couple in case you lose one. I believe the rivet head pins were used on the later Rolex bracelets to secure the two hinge pieces. Esslingers sells knurled head clasp pins that fit very tight and are more secure than the standard cotter pins.
